2023
The 2024 Saskatchewan Sailing Clubs Association Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday January 25th, 7:00 pm via Zoom. Please contact your club Commodore for the Zoom link and meeting package. Prior to the formal part of the meeting, Frank Denis, Executive Director for Sail Nova Scotia has generously agreed to speak to us about their successful bid to host the SailGP event in Halifax this June. Frank has been the ED for Sail Nova Scotia for 22 years and has been instrumental in securing a number of World Championships in addition to this, their first professional event.
Sask Sailing has a number of annual awards to present. They are: -Athlete/Sailor of the Year -Volunteer of the Year -Lammens Coach of the Year If you would like to nominate someone for an award, please send the nomination information to Travis Wiens at president@sasksailing.ca prior to Dec 31st. The section of the Policies manual which lists the details for each award is here.
The latest revision of the proposed SSCA bylaws are available here. These (or similar) bylaws will be presented to the membership for approval at the AGM. If you have any comments, please send them to Travis Wiens at president@sasksaing.ca

Sask Sailing is pleased to announce two new appointments. We are very happy that Conrad Pura will be joining us as Executive Director. Conrad has considerable experience in sports administration and will be responsible for most off-the-water aspects of Sask Sailing. He will be the main point of contact for clubs, their members and the general public. We are also very happy that Karl Brady will be taking up the position of Technical Director. Karl has extensive sailing education and coaching experience and was the Head Instructor for this summer’s successful sail school. He will be responsible for most on-the-water activities of Sask Sailing, including sail school and the provincial sailing team.
