End-of-season photo contest

Did you or anyone you know go sailing in Saskatchewan this summer? How about windsurfing, kiteboarding, wing foiling, or any water sport powered by the mighty prairie breeze?

Did you take any photos?

If you did, enter your best shot for a chance to win a gift card to Eb’s Source for Adventure in Saskatoon!

The prizes

  • One of three (3) $100 gift cards to Eb’s Source for Adventure in Saskatoon will be awarded to the top three submissions as judged by the Sask Sailing executive.
  • One of three (3) $50 gift cards to Eb’s Source for Adventure in Saskatoon will be awarded via draw and subsequent skill-testing question to those who share the associated social media post(s) on Instagram and/or Facebook (see rules for further details).

How to enter

  1. Select your favourite sailing-related photo that you personally took this past season (2023) in Saskatchewan.
  2. Attach the full-resolution photo in an email to ahoy@sasksailing.ca.
  3. In your message to us, include where the photo was taken, and when (if you remember).
  4. Optionally, include the following text (you can copy and paste it into the email):
    • I hereby grant Saskatchewan Sailing Clubs Association the right to publish my name alongside my submitted photo(s) on any digital or print presence managed by Saskatchewan Sailing Clubs Association including, but not limited to: the Sask Sailing website, Sask Sailing Facebook and Instagram pages, and newsletter.
    • I hereby grant Saskatchewan Sailing Clubs Association the right to reproduce, use, exhibit, display, broadcast, distribute, and create derivative works of my submitted photo(s) for the purposes of promoting and publicizing the sport of sailing and/or other wind-powered water sports in Saskatchewan.
    • The above text will allow us to announce you as the winner should you win, and will allow us to use your photo in advertisements to promote sailing in Saskatchewan, if appropriate. You are free to include both, either, or neither of the above points. However, by submitting your photo to this photo contest, you consent to letting Saskatchewan Sailing Clubs Association publish your photo on our digital and print platforms for the purposes of announcing the winning entries.
  5. Finally, sign off with your full name and hit “send”!

Rules

  • Only one photo entry per person. If you email us multiple entries, we will use your latest submission as your official entry.
  • You must be the photographer of the submission, or you must have consent from the photographer if you are submitting a photo on their behalf.
  • The photo must have been taken in 2023 in the province of Saskatchewan.
  • The photo must be sailing-related.
  • You must be a resident of Saskatchewan, and you must be available for contact if you are selected as a winner. We will need to contact you for your address to mail the prize, or to arrange a pick-up/drop-off if you reside in, or travel through Saskatoon.
  • To be entered for the $50 gift card social media draw, you must:
    • Follow Sask Sailing on either Facebook, Instagram, or both.
    • Like, share, and/or comment on (depending on the post instructions) at least one of the posts related to the photo contest publicly on Facebook or Instagram.
    • You don’t need to enter a photo to be eligible for the social media draw.
    • If you are selected as a winner for the photo contest, you are ineligible to win the draw, sorry!

Deadline for submissions

The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:59pm CST. Winners will be announced shortly after.
